This full-time position is seeking a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to work within a K-12 school environment serving students in the Chattanooga area. The role begins January 5, 2026, and concludes May 21, 2026. The assignment is on-site, requiring 37.5 hours per week, with caseloads that vary and involve following students according to their individual schedules.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Collaborating with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Adapting educational materials and methods to meet diverse learning needs
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting strategies to enhance learning outcomes
- Communicating regularly with parents, staff, and related service providers
Ideal candidates will possess:
- An active Tennessee Department of Education teaching certification in Deaf / Hard of Hearing education
