Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Monitor student progress and provide appropriate accommodations and support services
- Utilize assistive technologies and resources specific to DHH education
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in deaf education
Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania Teaching License
- Current and valid Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) license
- Experience working with K-12 students with hearing impairments
- Strong communication skills and collaborative approach
- Commitment to working on-site full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday
