This full-time opportunity serves a K–12 caseload and is ideal for an educator passionate about providing accessible, inclusive instruction for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative instructional services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Support students across K–12 grade levels in accordance with IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
- Assist with and support the use of assistive listening devices and communication technology
- Develop, implement, and maintain IEPs and progress documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, and team planning
Qualifications / Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field required
- Active Pennsylvania teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing required
- Prior school-based experience with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a K–12 caseload and travel between school sites if needed
- Must be able to pass state and district background and fingerprinting checks
