This position offers the opportunity to support K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in a flexible, part-time role within a Colorado school setting. Candidates will provide specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students across elementary through high school grades, fostering academic growth and effective communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction aligned with IEP goals for deaf and hard-of-hearing students
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech therapists, and families to support student success
  • Adapt curriculum and materials to meet varied learning needs and communication modalities
  • Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and provide timely reports
  • Participate in professional development and interdisciplinary team meetings

Qualifications & Credentials:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution
  • Master’s degree in special education focusing on deaf and hard-of-hearing education or equivalent preferred
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure by the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) as a Deaf/Hard of Hearing teacher
  • Experience working with K-12 students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing is highly desirable
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and educators

Location and Schedule:

  • Location: Monument, Colorado
  • Contract duration: November 17, 2025 through May 22, 2026
  • Part-time schedule: 20-25 hours per week, 2-3 days per week
