DHH Specialist - Remote Education Platform - Columbus, OH
Join our innovative team as a Remote DHH Specialist providing specialized educational services to deaf and hard of hearing students! We're looking for a passionate educator to deliver comprehensive virtual instruction and support throughout Ohio.
Position Details Full-time remote position dedicated to individualized deaf education services. You'll work with students across all grade levels while maintaining comprehensive case management through our state-of-the-art virtual learning environment.
Student Services & Programming
- Primary grade language acquisition support
- Intermediate academic skill development
- Secondary content area instruction
- Students with diverse hearing abilities
- Students utilizing various communication approaches and assistive technologies
Professional Duties
- IEP creation, implementation, and progress monitoring
- Virtual classroom management and curriculum adaptation
- Communication skill development across modalities
- Behavioral support planning and implementation
- Assessment administration and data analysis
- Collaborative consultation with educational teams
- Parent engagement and family support services
- Compliance documentation and reporting
Credential Requirements
- Master's degree in Deaf Education or Special Education
- Valid Ohio DHH teaching certification
- Minimum 2 years of school-based DHH experience
- Proficiency in multiple communication modalities
- Experience with remote learning platforms preferred
- Strong technological skills and adaptability
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational abilities
