Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instructional services to a caseload of K-12 students with hearing impairments
- Collaborate with educators, families, and specialists to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs
- Maintain compliance with all state and district policies, including documentation and reporting
- Engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in best practices for deaf and hard of hearing education
Qualifications:
- Active Tennessee Department of Education certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with deaf or hard of hearing students, preferably across a K-12 age range
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff
- Ability to complete required background checks and fingerprinting as mandated by the district
Location & Schedule:
- Position is onsite in the northern Nashville suburb area
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract duration from ASAP through May 20, 2026, with potential for renewal
