A full-time or part-time Teacher for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students is needed to support an itinerant role in a K-12 school located in Dallas, Texas. This contract position runs from ASAP through May 21, 2026, offering 21-35 hours per week with a schedule ranging from 3 to 5 days, typically involving 7-hour days. The role focuses on serving PreK to 6th-grade students at one campus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete student evaluations related to hearing impairments.
  • Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings.
  • Read and interpret audiograms to inform instructional planning.
  • Manage a caseload of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students from PreK through 6th grade.
  • Provide specialized support and tailored instruction to meet individual learning needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teaching License through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is required.
  • Experience working within Texas schools is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of the unique educational needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Ability to work effectively with families, educators, and related service providers.

Location:

  • Position is on-site only in Dallas, Texas.
  • Itinerant role with responsibility for one campus.
