About the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Role
As a school-based Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Denton, TX, you will provide instructional support to students with hearing loss to ensure access to academic content and classroom communication. You will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to support inclusive learning environments.
Responsibilities include adapting instructional materials, supporting communication strategies, participating in IEP development, and assisting with the use of assistive listening devices. This role requires a strong understanding of both instructional practices and student accessibility needs.
Requirements for the Role
Candidates must meet Texas education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field
