Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Teachers of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a rewarding opportunity with school districts in the Denver, CO area. This is a contract position with the possibility of renewal based on performance and district needs.

Requirements:

Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

  • Valid Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Service Provider License with an endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field.

  • Strong knowledge of audiology, hearing technologies, communication modalities, and language development.

  • Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.

  • CPR and First Aid certification (hard copy required).

  • Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) aligned with student goals.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, parents, and related service providers to support student success.

  • Adapt curriculum and instruction to meet diverse communication needs, including American Sign Language (ASL), oral communication, cued speech, or other modalities.

  • Monitor and track student progress through assessments and data collection.

  • Train and support school staff on strategies to create inclusive learning environments.

  • Promote self-advocacy, independence, and communication skills for students.

Contract Term:

  • Full-time, 2025–2026 School Year (with renewal opportunities based on performance).
