? Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours/week
? Caseload: 18 students (Early Childhood – Grade 12)
? Hourly Rate: $38+ (based on experience)
We’re seeking a passionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join our educational team in Derby, Kansas. In this full-time, onsite role, you’ll work with a diverse caseload of students from early childhood through 12th grade, providing direct instruction and support tailored to their unique needs.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general and special education staff to ensure inclusive, accessible instruction

Develop and implement IEPs in compliance with state and federal guidelines

Utilize American Sign Language (ASL) and other communication methods as needed

Support students’ language development, academic growth, and social integration
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field

Valid Kansas teaching license with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (TOD) endorsement

Passing score on the Praxis exam for Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students

Basic proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL); additional coursework may be required

Previous experience in a school-based setting is preferred
