Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a full-time, on-site contract with a school district partner in Elgin, IL, for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a rewarding opportunity for professionals passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments and helping them succeed in an inclusive, collaborative school environment.

Responsibilities
-
Provide direct instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Adapt curriculum and learning materials to meet individual student needs

Collaborate with general education teachers, SPED teams, and families

Support communication strategies including ASL, oral methods, or assistive technology as appropriate

Maintain compliance with state and district documentation standards
Requirements

Valid Illinois DHH teaching certification (or eligibility)

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong communication and collaboration skills

Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment
