ProCare Therapy is actively recruiting Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support K–12 students throughout Illinois for the 2025–2026 school year. We partner with school districts statewide to connect passionate educators with positions that foster academic, social, and emotional growth for DHH learners.

Position Overview

Locations: Opportunities throughout Illinois, including Chicago, Springfield, Peoria, Rockford, Naperville, and surrounding areas

Schedule: Full-time and part-time roles available

Employment Type: W-2 contract for the 2025–2026 academic year

Compensation: Competitive hourly pay with weekly direct deposit

Contract Renewal: Potential for renewal based on district needs and individual performance
Requirements
-
Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement, or eligibility to obtain

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

Experience working with DHH students preferred (K–12)

Familiarity with IEP development, assistive technology, and inclusive teaching strategies

Ability to meet all district and state hiring standards
Responsibilities

Provide direct, individualized instruction and support for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students

Collaborate with general educators, interpreters, and related service providers

Develop, implement, and monitor student IEPs
-
Ensure curriculum access through accommodations, assistive technology, and modifications

Encourage communication skills, self-advocacy, and academic progress
