Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) - Issaquah, Washington
A full-semester contract opportunity is available for a licensed Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students in grades K-12 in Issaquah, WA. This itinerant role offers the chance to work closely with both elementary and secondary students within a respected school district. The selected professional will provide specialized instruction and support to approximately 20-35 students, ensuring their unique educational needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored educational services and interventions to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Travel between multiple campuses to provide itinerant support while maintaining an office presence at the administration building.
- Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with all stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing (DHH) license.
- Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification or equivalent.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while providing services across various school locations.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
