Relocation Stipend Teacher - Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher - 2025-2026 SY

We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support students with hearing impairments in an educational setting. The DHH teacher will provide specialized instruction, develop individualized learning plans, and collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to ensure student success.

Relocate package to Wichita KS

Job Duties:

• Onsite position | virtual interviews 

• Full Time  

• Start Date: August 13, 2025

• End Date: May 22, 2026

• Hourly rate with tax-free travel stipends and relocation assistant = comes out to equivalent to $52 per  hour

• Caseload

• EC - 12th Grade

• 18 students

• Disabilities: Deaf/Deaf+

Qualifications:

• Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (willing to obtain over summer state state-specific licensure).

• Bachelor's degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or a related field.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods used by DHH students.

• Pending state teacher license 

• Pass the Praxis exam for "Education of Deaf and Hard of Hearing Students.

• Must be willing to live in / work-in desired state for the role

• Experience working with students with hearing impairments in an educational setting.

• Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.

• Familiarity with assistive technology and accommodations for students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff.
