DHH Teacher | Fort Worth, Texas
This full-time, onsite opportunity seeks a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to support K-12 students in a vibrant Texas school district. Location: Fort Worth, TX
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction tailored to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, speech-language pathologists, and other educational professionals to develop and implement effective educational strategies.
- Utilize specialized techniques and resources to enhance language acquisition and communication skills.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Engage with families and provide consultation to support students’ learning both in and out of the classroom.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Texas Educator’s certificate for Teaching Deaf/Hard of Hearing children is required.
- Preferably, experience working within Texas schools or similar educational environments.
- Strong knowledge of audiological and communication needs of students with hearing impairments.
- Ability to manage caseloads effectively across K-12 grade levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills to foster collaboration with colleagues and families.
