A certified educator with expertise in teaching deaf and hard of hearing (DHH) high school students is sought for a full-time contract position within a Regional Day School Program for the Deaf. Located in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, this role supports students within a specialized high school setting and requires an active Texas Department of Education (TX DOE) certification, including endorsement to teach high school core subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive instruction tailored to high school students with hearing impairments.
  • Develop and adapt curriculum to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with support staff and families to enhance student educational experiences.
  • Manage a caseload of high school students in the Regional Day School Program for the Deaf.
  • Maintain accurate records and participate in program evaluations.

Qualifications:

  • Active TX DOE certification with the ability to teach high school core subjects.
  • Experience or training in teaching deaf and hard of hearing students.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work full-time (35 hours/week) with potential part-time options available.
  • Commitment to start as soon as possible for the 2025-2026 school year.

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Arlington, TX, within the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area.
  • Full-time 35 hours per week; part-time positions may be considered.

Please note, this role requires on-site presence and is not open to virtual or hybrid formats. Interviews will be scheduled starting the week of October 13, 2025.
