Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) – Full-Time – Fox, IL
Sunbelt Staffing is currently hiring a dedicated and licensed Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) for a full-time, on-site position in a supportive school district located in Fox, Illinois. This is a rewarding opportunity to support K–12 students with hearing loss by providing specialized instruction, accommodations, and advocacy to help them thrive academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a variety of educational settings

Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students’ unique communication and learning needs
-
Adapt instructional materials and teaching strategies to enhance language development, auditory skills, and academic growth

Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support inclusive education
-
Facilitate the effective use of hearing aids, FM systems, cochlear implants, and other assistive technology
-
Maintain detailed records of student progress, services delivered, and IEP compliance
-
Participate actively in IEP meetings, staff collaboration sessions, and ongoing professional learning

Promote a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student confidence and independence
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field

Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement

Previous school-based experience preferred

Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and organization
