Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction and support to elementary students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Utilize American Sign Language and other educational strategies to facilitate student learning.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and parents to develop and implement individualized education plans.
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
- Maintain accurate records and comply with all relevant educational standards and policies.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of two years of post-secondary education equivalent to at least 48 semester hours from an accredited institution, or
- An associate degree or higher, or
- Demonstrated competence in instructing reading, writing, and mathematics through a formal state or local academic assessment.
- Must hold a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction Educational Interpreter License.
- Experience working with DHH students and proficiency in American Sign Language are essential.
