Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, enhancing their academic and communication skills.
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) aligned with state standards and each student’s needs.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to ensure consistent, supportive learning environments.
- Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to meet evolving goals and challenges.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia Department of Education Certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education is required.
- Experience working with elementary-aged students (K-5) who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to adapt instructional methods to diverse learning styles.
- Commitment to providing a supportive and inclusive educational atmosphere.
