Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Full Time Role
Blazer Jobs is seeking a dedicated Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT) to serve students in New Orleans, LA, for the 2025–2026 academic year.
This is a full-time, onsite contract position starting at $35 per hour, depending on experience.
Job Description:

Provide instruction using total communication, ASL, or other appropriate methods

Support students’ IEP goals in both general and special education settings

Collaborate with audiologists, SLPs, and school staff

Maintain records and participate in IEP meetings
-
Foster an inclusive learning environment
Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's in Deaf Education or related field
-
Valid Louisiana teaching certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing Education
-
Meet ESEA requirements for highly qualified teachers

Background screening and fingerprint clearance
