This position involves providing specialized instruction as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for K-12 students within a full-time contract role starting as soon as possible through May 22, 2026. The teacher will serve students in the Franklin, TN area and will be responsible for developing and implementing individualized educational plans that address the unique needs of students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across K-12 grade levels
- Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to ensure educational success
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and reports in compliance with educational policies and licensing requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
- Experience working with deaf/hard of hearing students in an educational setting
- Knowledge of communication strategies, assistive technologies, and curriculum adaptations for DHH learners
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
