Position Overview:
We’re looking for a passionate and skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to join a supportive district in Bluffton, just 15 minutes from Hilton Head. This role is perfect for an educator who’s committed to helping students with hearing impairments reach their full academic and personal potential. You’ll work with a diverse K–12 caseload, providing direct instruction, consultation, and support to ensure student success across all learning environments.
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement IEPs tailored to individual student needs

Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to promote communication and accessibility in the classroom

Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed

Advocate for students’ needs and ensure inclusive learning environments
Qualifications:

Must meet South Carolina state requirements for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH)

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field

Valid South Carolina teaching certification (or eligibility)

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Hourly Rate: $39+
