About the DHH Teacher Role

In this role, you will support students who are deaf or hard of hearing by delivering specialized instruction aligned with IEP goals. You will collaborate with educational teams to ensure communication access across learning environments. Responsibilities include adapting curriculum, supporting assistive technology use, and monitoring student progress. This role emphasizes individualized instruction and collaboration.

Requirements for the Role

Candidates must meet New Hampshire education, certification, and licensure requirements, including:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or a related field

  • Valid New Hampshire Department of Education certification with Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement

  • Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing

  • Knowledge of communication modalities including ASL and auditory-oral approaches

  • Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams

  • Completion of New Hampshire school district background check requirements
