Position Details:
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: June 16, 2026
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Onsite Only
Pay Rate: TBD (Based on Experience)
Number of Openings: 2
Caseload Overview:
K–12 student caseload across Fayette County
Provide direct instruction and consultative services
Collaborate with IEP teams and related services
Support students using assistive listening devices and communication supports
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and services to students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals aligned to student needs
Consult with classroom teachers and staff to ensure accessibility across learning environments
Support amplification devices, FM systems, and assistive listening technology
Assess communication development and share findings with school teams and families
Provide staff training to support communication strategies and accommodations
Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with district and state requirements
Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning
Requirements:
Active DHHT Educator Certification in Pennsylvania
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field
Experience providing school-based services to students with hearing loss
Strong understanding of IDEA compliance and IEP development
Knowledge of ASL, Signed English, or total communication preferred (district-dependent)
Effective communication and collaboration skills across school teams
Must pass all required background checks prior to start date
