Hiring: Certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
Location: Indianapolis, IN
A partner school in Indianapolis is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to work with our students for the 2025/26 school year. If you're passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments, we encourage you to apply!
Position Details:
- Caseload: 5 K-12 students
- Schedule: Very Part Time, 10 hours/month
- Duration: August 2025 - May 2026
Duties:
- Provide language and communication support using sign language, speech, lip-reading and written communication
- Foster language development, vocabulary acquisition, and communication skills
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, interpreters, and other professionals to ensure effective inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations for accommodations and services
Requirements:
- Active Indiana DHH Teaching License
- Master's Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- At least one year experience as a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
- Experience working with low-incidence populations preferred
