This opportunity is for an experienced educator specializing in serving Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at the K-12 level. The position runs from early February through the end of the school year as a contracted role. Located in Irvine, CA, this is an onsite itinerant teaching assignment supporting approximately 35 students across multiple grade levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across various grade levels.
  • Manage a caseload of approximately 35 students in an itinerant role, traveling between schools as needed.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet individual needs.
  • Maintain comprehensive records and documentation related to student performance and communication goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience teaching Deaf and Hard of Hearing students within a K-12 setting.
  • Strong understanding of instructional methods, accommodations, and communication modalities for students with hearing loss.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload and work effectively in an itinerant capacity.
  • Reliable and flexible to fulfill onsite teaching requirements from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM, approximately 32.5 hours per week.

  • Irvine, California, with onsite responsibilities at multiple schools.
