This part-time, itinerant teaching position is designed for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to serve a K-12 caseload in an onsite role near Denton, TX. The contract runs through the current school year (CSY), providing a unique opportunity to impact students with hearing impairments across grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing in a K-12 setting.
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student learning and communication.
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly.
- Provide support and training for staff and families on hearing-related learning strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) certification is required.
- Experience working with K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Ability to deliver instruction in an itinerant role, managing a caseload effectively.
- Strong communication skills and adaptability in onsite educational environments.
