An educational opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing serving PreK through 6th grade students within an itinerant role supporting one campus. This position is based in Irving, Texas, and will run from ASAP through May 21, 2026. The role requires working full-time or part-time schedules, ranging from 21 to 35 hours per week (7-hour days), with a minimum of three days up to five days on-site.

Key responsibilities include conducting evaluations, participating in Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings, interpreting audiograms, and managing a caseload of students with hearing impairments from PreK to 6th grade. This position strictly requires on-site work and is not open to virtual or remote opportunities.

Qualifications and experience preferred:

  • Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) Teaching License issued by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)
  • Previous teaching experience in Texas schools is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of audiogram interpretation and student evaluation methods
  • Experience supporting students within the K-6 grade range
  • Ability to manage individualized education plans and participate actively in ARD meetings
