This position calls for a dedicated Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing support for students ranging from Pre-K to 6th grade. The role is based on-site in Irving, TX, working within a K-12 school setting on a contract through the current school year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments specific to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to discuss student progress and educational plans.
  • Read and interpret audiograms to inform instructional strategies.
  • Manage and support a caseload of students from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade.
  • Provide itinerant services across one campus, focusing on the RDSPD program.
  • Collaborate with school staff and support teams to meet individual student needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Deaf/Hard of Hearing Teaching License through the Texas Education Agency (TEA) is required.
  • Experience working in Texas schools is preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule between 21 and 35 hours per week, with a minimum commitment of 3 days and up to 5 days.
  • Strong understanding of educational strategies and compliance related to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
