Hiring: Certified Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher
Location: Issaquah, WA
A partner school in Washington is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to work with our students for the summer. If you're passionate about supporting students with hearing impairments, we encourage you to apply!
Position Details:
- Caseload: Elementary and Middle School Students
- Schedule: Part Time 8am - 12:30pm
- Duration: Summer 2025
Duties:
- Provide language and communication support using sign language, speech, lip-reading and written communication
- Foster language development, vocabulary acquisition, and communication skills
- Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, interpreters, and other professionals to ensure effective inclusion
- Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations for accommodations and services
Requirements:
- Active Washington DHH Teaching License
- Master's Degree in Education for Teaching Deaf Students
- ESA Certification Required
- OSPI Prints on file
- School Experience Preferred
Benefits:
