Job Posting: Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) – Issaquah, WA
Pay: From $40-$43/hr, based off experienceBlazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for a part-time contract position with a highly supportive school district in Issaquah, WA. This educator will serve students with hearing impairments across various grade levels, providing direct instruction, consultative services, and accommodations aligned with each IEP.
Requirements (must meet Washington State and district criteria):

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid Washington ESA Certification with endorsement in Deaf/Hard of Hearing

Familiarity with ASL, auditory training techniques, FM/DM systems, and assistive hearing technologies

Ability to complete all district fingerprint/background requirements

Experience providing DHH services in school settings strongly preferred
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction and academic support to students with hearing impairments

Provide consultation to classroom teachers, support staff, and families

Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and evaluation processes

Support implementation and troubleshooting of assistive hearing devices

Adapt curriculum, materials, and communication methods based on student needs
