Blazer Jobs partners with school districts nationwide to connect dedicated educators with students who need specialized support. We are seeking a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) for an itinerant position supporting students in Issaquah, WA for the 2025–2026 school year.

This role supports elementary and secondary students across multiple school sites. The position is currently 3 days per week (FTE), with potential flexibility based on district needs. The selected candidate will work collaboratively with a supportive special education team and district administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and related service providers
  • Support IEP development, implementation, and compliance
  • Assist with communication strategies and educational access supports
  • Maintain documentation and participate in required meetings

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or a closely related education field
  • Active Washington State Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) License
  • ESA certification required
  • Experience supporting students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to travel between school sites as needed
  • Must meet all state and district background and fingerprinting requirements
