Teacher of the Deaf Inclusive School Setting Near Jedburg, SC

Position Details:
Schedule: Full-Time | 37.5 hours per week
Setting: Onsite Only
Caseload: K–12 students
Pay Rate: TBD (Based on Experience)
Caseload Overview:
Support a K–12 student population across assigned school settings
Provide direct instructional and consultative services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Collaborate with special education teams, general education teachers, and related service providers
Ensure students have appropriate access to instruction, communication supports, and accommodations
Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction and support to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Implement instructional strategies aligned with IEP goals and state curriculum standards
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student access and academic success
Participate in IEP meetings, evaluations, progress monitoring, and documentation
Support classroom staff with accommodations, communication strategies, and best practices
Maintain compliance with state and federal special education regulations
Foster an inclusive learning environment that supports communication, engagement, and independence
Requirements:
Active South Carolina DHH Certification required
Prior school-based experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education, Special Education, or related field
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Ability to pass all required state and district background checks prior to start
