ProCare Therapy is seeking qualified and passionate Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) to support K–12 students throughout North Carolina for the 2025–2026 school year. We partner with public school districts and charter schools statewide to connect educators with positions where they can make a lasting difference in the lives of Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners.

Position Details

Locations: Opportunities available across the state, including Charlotte, Raleigh, Greensboro, Asheville, and nearby areas
Schedule: Full-time and part-time options available
Employment Type: W-2 contract for the 2025–2026 academic year
Compensation: Competitive hourly rates with weekly direct deposit
Contract Renewal: Extensions available based on district needs and performance

Qualifications

• North Carolina Teaching License with a Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility to obtain)

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)

• Experience working with DHH students (K–12 preferred)

• Strong understanding of IEP development and assistive technology

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

• Collaborate with teachers, interpreters, and other school professionals

• Develop and manage IEPs tailored to each student’s needs

• Implement assistive technology and accommodations to enhance access

• Foster language development, independence, and inclusion
