School Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher Lakeland, FL
We are seeking a committed and qualified Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our school-based team in Lakeland, FL. This role involves working with a K-12 caseload to provide specialized instruction and support for students with hearing impairments.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to students’ needs.

Provide direct instruction and support in various educational settings.

Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success.

Utilize assistive technology and other resources to enhance learning experiences.

Conduct regular assessments and monitor student progress.
Requirements:

Active Florida DHH certification.
-
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Deaf Education or a related field.
-
Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred.

Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods is beneficial.
