About VocoVision:
VocoVision is seeking a dedicated Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide remote educational services to K-12 students in Lansing, Michigan. This is an excellent opportunity to work with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, helping them to develop key skills and access their education in a fully virtual environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:

Deliver virtual specialized instruction to students with hearing impairments, focusing on areas such as language development, communication skills, and academic support.

Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of students.

Assess student progress, adjust instructional methods, and provide ongoing feedback to ensure educational success.

Offer training and guidance to school staff and parents on supporting students with hearing impairments in the virtual setting.

Attend IEP meetings and other team discussions to provide valuable insight and recommendations regarding hearing impairment needs.

Maintain detailed records of student progress and provide consistent updates to parents and educators.
Requirements:

Valid Michigan licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing.

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.

Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing, preferably in a virtual setting.

Proficiency with virtual teaching platforms and assistive technologies for students with hearing impairments.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote, team-based environment.
