Providing specialized support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, this contract position supports a K-12 student within the Atlanta area. The role is designed for a qualified educator who holds an active Georgia DOE Certification and has experience in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education. This leave replacement offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a single student's educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver focused instruction and support for one student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Follow a strict daily schedule from 10:20 AM to 11:50 AM EST, Monday through Friday
  • Collaborate with school staff to ensure student progress and inclusion
  • Adapt materials and communication techniques to meet the student’s individual needs

Qualifications:

  • Active Georgia Department of Education (GA DOE) Certification in Deaf/Hard of Hearing education
  • Experience working with the Deaf/Hard of Hearing student population, preferably 0-9+ years
  • Strong communication and instructional skills tailored to the unique needs of Deaf/Hard of Hearing learners
  • Ability to commit to a fixed schedule for the duration of the contract

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10:20 AM – 11:50 AM EST (7.5 to 10 hours per week)
