Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing or a related field
-
Valid Pennsylvania teaching certification with a DHH endorsement
-
Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing preferred
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or willingness to learn preferred
Responsibilities:

Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing
-
Adapt and modify curriculum materials to ensure accessibility and engagement
-
Collaborate with general and special education teachers to support student learning goals
-
Participate in developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Support students’ communication development and self-advocacy skills
-
Monitor and document student progress through assessments and reports
-
Partner with families and staff to promote inclusion and academic success
