Position Summary:
We are hiring a qualified and compassionate Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing for the 2025–2026 school year. This full-time role involves working with students who have hearing impairments, providing individualized instruction and support in a school-based setting. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with educators, service providers, and families to support student success.
Responsibilities:

Deliver direct instruction to students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)

Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

Adapt instruction to meet each student’s communication and academic needs

Utilize appropriate communication methods (e.g., ASL, auditory/oral, total communication)

Track and report on student progress
Requirements:

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid California teaching credential for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
-
Experience in school-based or special education settings preferred

Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
