This part-time opportunity is designed for a skilled Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) to support K-12 students in an educational setting. The role focuses on delivering specialized instruction and services that address the unique learning needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students’ hearing and communication needs.
  • Provide direct instruction in academic content and language development using strategies aligned with deaf education.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and families to optimize student learning and social integration.
  • Utilize assistive technologies and communication modalities appropriate for each student.
  • Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
  • Participate in meetings and contribute to program development for deaf and hard-of-hearing services.

Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensure to teach students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
  • Experience working with K-12 students with hearing loss.
  • Strong knowledge of deaf education methodologies and communication options, including sign language and auditory-oral techniques.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and families.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Location and Schedule:

  • Located in Littleton, CO.
  • Part-time commitment during the current school year (CSY).
