Teacher of the Deaf in Los Angeles, CA
A full-time position is available for an experienced Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized support for students from infancy through age 22. This role is based onsite in Los Angeles, CA, within a K-12 school setting, offering a contract assignment for the spring semester.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instruction and early intervention services to a caseload of 35 students, including infants eligible for IFSP.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Provide consultations and support services within the program.
- Conduct assessments and maintain detailed documentation of student progress.
- Work itinerantly to serve students across multiple locations as required.
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California CTC Education Specialist Instruction Credential with Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) Authorization.
- Proven experience working with infants and familiarity with early intervention services, including IFSP development.
- Strong skills in consultative and collaborative educational practices.
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
