Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Teacher for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHHT) to join our team on a full-time contract basis in the Dallas, TX area schools. This is an on-site position supporting students with hearing impairments to achieve academic and communication success.
Responsibilities

Provide direct and consultative instructional services to students who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) to meet each student’s needs.

Adapt curriculum materials and teaching strategies to support student learning and accessibility.

Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, interpreters, and families to promote student inclusion.

Provide training and guidance to school staff regarding hearing loss, accommodations, and assistive technology.

Monitor and document student progress toward academic and communication goals.

Participate in ARD/IEP meetings and contribute to planning appropriate supports and services.
Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Current Texas teaching certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing or eligibility to obtain certification.

Knowledge of hearing assistive technology and accommodations for students with hearing loss.

Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.

Experience working in a school-based setting preferred.

Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
