Providing specialized support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing, this position requires a dedicated educator to deliver individualized instruction and services in a K-6 school setting. Located near Fort Worth, TX, the role involves an itinerant assignment supporting one campus within a public school district, serving PreK through 6th-grade students with hearing impairments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and interpret audiograms to identify student needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans tailored to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
  • Attend Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) meetings to collaborate with educators, families, and service providers.
  • Manage a caseload of students from PreK to 6th grade, providing on-site support and specialized instruction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with state and district regulations.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) teaching license through the Texas Education Agency (TEA).
  • Experience in Texas school settings preferred.
  • Strong understanding of communication strategies and accommodations for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
  • Ability to work effectively in an itinerant role, managing multiple schedules and student needs.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and families.

Position Details:

  • Location: Mansfield, TX (near Fort Worth)
  • Start Date: January 5, 2026
  • End Date: May 21, 2026
  • Schedule: Full-time or part-time, 21-35 hours per week (minimum 3 days, up to 5 days), 7-hour workdays.
  • On-site commitment required.
