Texas Elementary Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher Opening
A Texas school district is seeking a Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher to provide itinerant support at a single elementary campus. This role serves students from PreK through 6th grade and offers flexible scheduling with both part-time and full-time options.
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instructional and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations

Attend and actively participate in ARD meetings

Read, interpret, and apply audiological reports and audiograms to instructional planning

Manage and support an assigned PK–6 caseload
-
Collaborate with general education teachers, special education staff, and families

Ensure services align with student IEPs and state/federal requirements
Required Qualifications:

Valid Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License through the Texas Education Agency (TEA)

Ability to work independently in an itinerant setting

Texas school-based experience preferred
Compensation:

$50–60/hour (depending on experience)
