The district is seeking a qualified Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing to provide itinerant services for an elementary-aged caseload. This position supports students from PreK through 6th grade and offers flexibility in scheduling while maintaining consistent, school-based support.

Key Functions:

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

  • Conduct evaluations and assist with eligibility and service determinations

  • Participate in ARD meetings and support IEP development

  • Review and interpret audiograms to inform instructional strategies

  • Manage a PK–6 caseload and track student progress

  • Collaborate with campus staff and families to support student access and communication needs

Required Credentials:

  • Active Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teaching License through TEA

  • Ability to work in an itinerant role with minimal supervision

  • Prior Texas school experience preferred

Compensation:

  • Hourly Pay: $50–60 (depending on experience)
