Requirements:
Applicants must meet all local and state requirements, including:

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Deaf Education or related field

Valid Oregon Teaching License with a Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) endorsement
-
Familiarity with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
-
Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) preferred
-
Previous school-based or pediatric experience strongly desired
Typical Responsibilities:

Develop and implement individualized instructional plans to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing

Collaborate with general and special education teachers, interpreters, and support staff to promote inclusion and accessibility

Adapt curriculum materials to meet each student’s language and communication needs
-
Participate in IEP meetings, progress reporting, and family communication
-
Provide ongoing support and strategies for classroom teachers and parents
-
Foster a supportive and empowering learning environment for students
