A full-time teaching position is available for a dedicated professional specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education in central Wisconsin. This contract role starts on August 1, 2026, and focuses on serving approximately 15 students across six rural school districts, providing vital support and instruction tailored to their unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver specialized instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
  • Manage a caseload of about 15 students distributed across multiple rural sites, including Abbotsford, Edgar, Marathon, Athens, Rosholt, and Spencer
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and related service providers to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
  • Provide ongoing assessment and progress monitoring to ensure educational goals are met
  • Participate in community and school events as appropriate to support student engagement and inclusion

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Certification as a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing or equivalent credentials
  • Ability to travel between multiple rural locations within central Wisconsin
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a diverse caseload
  • Open to new graduates eager to begin their career in this specialized field
  • Commitment to working a full-time schedule of approximately 40 hours per week, with potential summer hours
