Position: Part-Time Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
Schedule: Approximately 18 hours per week (.5 FTE)
Caseload: K-12, serving all ages across multiple school locations
Duration: Current School Year (CSY) contract
Work Setting: Onsite only
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active New Hampshire Teaching License
- Active New Hampshire Deaf/Hard of Hearing (DHH) License
- Proven experience supporting Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across all grade levels
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and collaborate with multiple school teams
- Commitment to providing specialized instruction and services directly onsite
Responsibilities:
- Deliver tailored instruction and support for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing in K-12 settings
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educators and families
- Conduct assessments and monitor student progress regularly
- Facilitate communication access and assistive technology as needed
- Participate in school meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with local education agencies and related service providers
