DHH Teacher | Monroe, North Carolina
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing to provide specialized instruction within a supportive school environment in Concord, NC. This full-time, on-site position involves working closely with a caseload of approximately 10–12 students to deliver tailored educational services aligned with the North Carolina Standard Course of Study.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Special Education services according to individual IEPs utilizing effective and research-based instructional strategies.
- Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs.
- Administer screenings and evaluations to assess student progress and needs.
- Actively participate in the Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, contributing to the development of student goals and service plans.
- Monitor and document student progress and classroom behavior consistently.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, including notes, summaries, and IEPs.
- Collaborate regularly with school staff, students, and families to support student success and ensure compliance with Special Education standards.
Qualifications:
- Valid North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) Deaf/Hard of Hearing Professional Educator’s License.
- Ability to provide a screenshot of an active license upon application submission.
- Experience working in Special Education settings with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and safe learning environment.
Location: Concord, North Carolina (Full-time, on-site)
