Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Teacher to join our team in Moreno Valley, CA for the 2025-2026 school year. This full-time position offers a meaningful opportunity to support students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an inclusive, student-centered learning environment.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) to meet the unique communication and educational needs of students.

Provide direct instruction in academic subjects and communication skills (including American Sign Language or other preferred modes).

Collaborate with general education teachers, families, interpreters, and related service providers to promote student success.

Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.

Facilitate communication access and advocate for accommodations in both academic and social settings.

Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team reviews.

Stay current with best practices in deaf education and participate in professional development.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Deaf Education or related field.

Valid Arkansas teaching license with Deaf and Hard of Hearing endorsement (or eligibility for licensure).

Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) or other communication methods used by DHH students preferred.

Previous experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing is preferred.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
